Who is Khwan Retreat for?
Khwan Retreat is designed for older adults — typically those in their 60s and older — who are in reasonable health and looking for a supportive, social environment. Residents tend to be people who value quiet days, good food, and genuine companionship. We are not a medical or nursing facility; residents must be able to live with standard daily support.
Can family members visit?
Yes, family visits are welcome. Guests are invited to join community meals with advance notice, and we can arrange a short stay for family members exploring the community for themselves. We believe connection with family is important, and we do our best to support that.
What is included in the monthly fee?
The monthly fee covers accommodation, all three daily meals, housekeeping, laundry, access to community activities and shared spaces, and daily staff check-ins. The Homestead Suite and Cottage options include additional services as described. Some personal expenses — medical consultations, personal shopping, and optional excursions beyond the standard schedule — are managed separately.
How do I begin the process of moving in?
The first step is simply a conversation. We invite you (and any family members) to visit the community, see the spaces, share a meal, and ask questions. There's no pressure and no commitment involved in a visit. If the community feels like a good match, we can discuss availability, next steps, and any specific needs you may have.
Is Khwan Retreat suitable for couples?
The Independent Cottage is particularly well-suited for couples, with its separate living room, full bedroom, kitchen facilities, and private garden. Couples considering other options are encouraged to contact us to discuss their needs — we do our best to accommodate different arrangements.
What are the payment terms?
Fees are paid monthly in advance in Thai Baht. We can discuss payment options and any deposit requirements directly during the enquiry process. There is no lengthy contractual lock-in; we prefer straightforward, transparent arrangements that work for both parties.
